Beyond the Label: Brand Accountability for Plastic Waste

The proposed event is a radio discussion which will be engaging the Zero Waste Ambassadors in three cities (Benin City, Uyo and Yenagua) of Nigeria. In this engaging conversation, we will explore the pivotal role that brands play in addressing the urgent issue of plastic pollution. The Zero Waste Ambassadors team which will feature as panelists will examine the environmental impact of current packaging practices, shed light on the just concluded ERA/FoEN brand audit results and the Return to Sender Action carried out against the leading polluting brands, and discuss how individuals can make informed and deliberate actions to drive positive change in their daily activities. We will further unravel issues surrounding plastic waste accountability thereby inspiring a collective commitment to a cleaner, greener and a zero waste future.
