Kabataan Para sa Iwas Plastik

Overall, the forum aims to prepare Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officers to take an active role in promoting the campaign to eliminate single-use plastics.
At the end of the forum the participants shall:
• Understand the extent of waste pollution, especially plastic pollution.
• Articulate the danger posed by SUPs on
o Health
o Environment
o Economy
o The climate
o Future generations
• Understand ecological solutions and false solutions to plastic pollution
• Indicate commitment to changes in their consumption behavior and their support to the elimination of SUPs
• Develop SK action plan for the reduction of SUPs

Outputs:

1. SK Officers informed of the extent/risks of plastic pollution with focus on SUPs
2. SK action plans for the reduction/elimination of SUPs

Long Term Outcome:

Youth-led campaign for the reduction/elimination of SUPs.
