Waste Audit at Aarey Forest

Green Communities Foundation (GCF) works with a community in Aarey Forest which is part of Mumbai city on waste segregation at source and recycling. GCF wishes to do a waste audit of the dry waste collected by the community. This will give us an idea of the waste profile, the possibility of monetization of the waste and also implications for EPR, especially for the non-recyclables. GCF will collect around 50 kg of waste across this community during the first week of Jan. This waste will be weighed, sorted and analyzed for type of waste, brand, product type, MRP, pack size etc. Analysis will be done by end of the month and findings will be published in the form of a report.
