Youth Empowerment Camp for Sustainable Future

January 9, 2024 - January 10, 2024

“Youth Empowerment Camp for Sustainable Future” is a transformative event designed to educate and empower 60 selected students in Dhaka and Rangpur during Refuse Single Use Week. Throughout this immersive camp, participants will engage in a variety of educational sessions and hands-on activities aimed at raising awareness about single-use plastic pollution and its detrimental effects on both the environment and human health.
The camp’s curriculum is carefully crafted to provide a comprehensive understanding of the challenges posed by single-use plastics. Participants will receive informative booklets, visually impactful posters, and engaging presentations that delve into the variation of plastic pollution, shedding light on its extensive impact on ecosystems and the correlation with human well-being.
To enhance the learning experience, the camp will feature interactive sessions where participants actively engage in practical exercises to refuse single-use plastics. These hands-on activities will include creative initiatives, such as designing alternatives to single-use items, organizing community clean-up drives, and participating in recycling initiatives. By immersing participants in these tangible experiences, the camp aims to instill a sense of responsibility and empower them to be catalysts for positive change in their communities.
